Wow, haven't heard that phrase "to do a good turn" in decades! Has the notion as well as the language done out of fashion? Are there arenas in which young folk are taught the way of life my grandmother and my scout leader taught?
Sadly, "a giver not a taker" would seem foreign in some self absorbed, self-preserving/promoting cultures I've seen lately.
