“They encourage young women, and some middle-aged women, to be interested in somebody else's narrative rather than their own…I want [my daughter and her friends] to be interested in what's happening in their own lives.”

An interesting juxtaposition to last week's quote, Diana. Can we study and learn from the history and lives of those who have gone before without losing our own way? Must we build our own stories at the expense of losing sight of the struggles of those who paved the way? Its both/and not either/or. Balance, it's all in the balance.
